Obama Take Note: Bloodbath Movie Could Become Truer Than Fiction
by Dan Ehrlich

Machete, the latest highly entertaining macho bloodbath from film director Robert Rodriguez, left me with a very real foreboding of a future America with open drug gang violence, immigrant smuggling and vigilante brutality inundating the U.S.- Mexican border areas.

Then, after seeing the film I read a news story where the Homeland Security Agency has warned Arizona cops to be on guard against Mexican drug cartel hit squads searching our side of the border for renegade drug dealers who have stolen the cartel’s products.

And they’re serious. The federal government recently posted signs along Interstate 8 in the Vekol Valley warning travelers the area is unsafe because of drug and alien smugglers. The signs were posted by the Bureau of Land Management along a 60-mile stretch of Interstate 8 between Casa Grande and Gila Bend, warning travelers they are entering an "active drug- and human-smuggling area" and may encounter "armed criminals and smuggling vehicles traveling at high rates of speed."

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, whose county includes the valley, said earlier this month that Mexican drug cartels have posted scouts on the high points around the valley to control movement in the area. He said they have radios, optics and "night-vision goggles as good as anything law enforcement has."

"This is going on here in Arizona … 30 miles from the fifth-largest city in the United States," he said. The sheriff said he asked the Obama administration for 3,000 National Guard soldiers to patrol the border, but got 15 signs along Interstate 8 instead.

This lack of political foresight and action goes back to our beloved geriatric president Ronald Reagan who not only set us on a course for economic decline but offered the first illegal alien amnesty instead of tough action along the border.

Today it seems almost like deja vu with ancient Rome and contemporary philosopher Ariel Durant's words ringing true: “A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.”

Since WW2 America has never been engaged in a single war of national survival and well-being. And, no matter how some may have seemed waged for humanitarian reasons, i.e. Bosnia and Kosovo, they have really been distractions from our domestic problems, the biggest of which are our seemingly porous border with Mexico, our ever growing gluttonous desire for cheap consumer goods and cheap illegal drugs.

America’s decline or decadence is best illustrated by our inability to control our destiny and the gradual erosion of our national identity. This after all was a manufactured-to-order nation made up of people from all over the world, yet molded from an Anglo-Saxon work ethnic and business model, one that separated us from the more brutalized and raped Hispanic nations.

Yet, as we become more enveloped in the global market, with the world divided between low wage producer nations and wealthy consumer nations, the historic nation-state becomes an endangered species since we all seem to be sharing the same economic bed, interdependent on one another.

This may seem like heaven to the far left, but it reality it would be more like hell. The idea that there should be no borders between nations with free movement of the world’s ever growing population would eventually create worldwide poverty, strife, chaos and even genocide.

In an uncertain future of declining resources, booming populations and yet diminishing personal wealth, it’s important to maintain some bastions of wealth and culture…to this end again the Anglo Saxon based nations have the track record of business acumen and comparative racial tolerance to best keep hope alive in a possible anarchic world to come.

However, in the here and now, American needs strong decisive leadership that recognizes and acts against real threats to this nation other than sending road warning signs telling citizens to beware they are in bandit country.
